Introduction
What is Parentalk?
Parentalk is a charity (registered charity no.1074790), which was established in response to Parentalk/Gallup research which revealed
that 1 in 3 parents feel like failures.
Parentalk:
- is committed to inspiring parents to succeed and enjoy their role more.
- is dedicated to celebrating parenthood, highlighting its importance in
society and making it more fun.
- provides a variety of resources and services for all parents across the UK,
regardless of age, background, status and family type.
- supports parents, primarily in non-crisis situations, giving reassurance,
guidance and preventative advice and training.
- is positive, relevant, accessible and easy to reach.
- provides multiple 'access points' so that parents can get the information
they want in the way that best suits them.
- acts as a gateway to other organisations.
- doesn't claim to be an expert organisation, but works in partnership with
agencies and individuals that are.
- uses the media to help get its messages across.
- creates media opportunities to highlight the role of parents, push
parenting issues up the national agenda, and emphasise the importance of
parenting to the nation's social fabric.
