Retrouvaille

Introduction

Retrouvaille began in Canada in 1977 and is now available in the UK. The programme helps couples to rediscover the love and commitment that originally brought them together. It can help couples in troubled marriages find a way forward together or help those with a stable, happy marriage to build on the strengths they already have. Couples learn to listen, express felings, to be honest and to manage conflict. The couples and priest leading the weekend share stories from their own experience of making realtionships work and so help the couples to reflect on their own issues and learn from how others have dealt with them. The privacy and confidentiality of everyone is respected. After the weekend there is a follow up phase of weekly meetings for three months and further on-going support for those who wish for it. It is now available in England and Ireland.
