Meeting new people - Tips anyone???

Hello All

As some of you may have gathered from previous posts, my wife left me back in March 2009, I'm trying to rebuild my life and have had two brief unsuccessful relationships since, both of which I don't think I was ready for.

My friends are all settled down, I have tried internet dating and its not great, where does a single man go to find a new circle of friends where he could possibly meet someone naturally??

Any tips cos I'm starting to think that there is no hope left,

Thanks

Hi

It has been about the same time for me as well. I found that once I made one friend it snowballed from there and I met their friends. I just got chatting to a woman at a shopping centre and found we were both recently single after long mariages. We exchanged phone number and it went from there. I have also had success going to an RSVP (internet dating) social night where I met more women than men LOL. It was good because we are all in the same boat. Also had success by searching for a social group in my local community. Social groups are generally made up of friendly couples and singles.

I now have more friends than I ever had when I was married. I said to someone the other day that if all I have in my life is good friends and good times I will be contented. A special man would be nice but not a necessity.

I wish you the best in your search. I feel it may be harder for men than women to meet as I will talk to anyone at the drop of the hat.

Cheers

Janine
