Re: Fear leading to a Dead Bedroom...

Fear can come down the generational line or it could be from an incident(s) in childhood. A child is very vulnerable.

Re: Fear leading to a Dead Bedroom...

There is a natural fear that is good such as a fear of standing on the edge of a cliff or a fear of oncoming traffic when crossing the road. These are God given for our protection. But there are other fears that do not come from him but are a cringing kind of fear which destroys us and causes discouragement the opposite of encouragement. Note the word courage in these words.

Yesterday I was helping in ministering to a woman with a fear of dogs. This came about when she was bitten by a dog and since then she was afraid of all dogs and believed deep down that they would bite her even though in her head this was nonsense. After a bit of prayer she was able to acknowledge that her fears were lies and we were able to pray for healing into the damage. Also any spirits of fear that got in were told to go. This included the feeling of abandonment and other things. She felt free and healed and later testified that she was able to go up to a dog and pat it without any fear.

The above was quite a simple exercise but it does show that some fears have spiritual roots and can be treated as such. The scripture says that perfect love casts out all fear and many times Jesus said fear not. All this might be christian stuff but I don't have any better answers. My wife as it happens was delivered from a fear of flying.
