BBC Songs of Praise

BBC Songs of Praise is currently working on a programme for transmission during Lent 2012, exploring the subject of ‘Temptation”, looking at the story of Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness wrestling with different temptations.

Temptations come in all shapes and forms and one area we would like to look at in the programme is that of sexual temptation – the temptation to have a relationship outside of your marriage/committed relationship.

Is there anyone here (with a Christian faith) who has had an extra-marital affair has managed to save their marriage, or somebody whose affair has cost them their marriage? They are hoping to be able to explore how everyone can be vulnerable to temptations, and sometimes they can be subtle and can creep up on us and catch us out, and that sometimes, depending on the circumstances in our lives, we can be more susceptible to temptation than usual. They'd also like to look at what difference having a faith makes, when it comes to working through an experience such as an affair.

They hoping to speak to possible interviewees as soon as possible, and certainly over the next few weeks. Although it’s just initial research at the moment, would you be willing to share their story with our programme?

Many thanks for any help you can give them.
