Both of us are unemployed!!!!!

Hello my name is Ken. We are in a situation that is almost unbearable at times. We are both unemployed and only receiving one income. Financialy things are bad! We can't find jobs yet in our area which is Pittsburgh, PA. We have thought of moving but need money to do that. We have thought of moving back home with each ones own families. We are both christians and we do have hope but sometimes it's really hard. I would appreciate an email and some advice to our problem.

It sounds as if you feel trapped by your circumstances. You do have one advantage over many and that is your faith.

We're not sure what sort of advice and help is available in USA for folk struggling financially as we're UK based. Have you got a supportive church to turn to for prayer support and practical advice? Is there anyone who could give you an interest free loan until you get some work or, if you are already in debt, help you to reschedule the debts so you are not crippled by interest payments?

It would be tough on you and your relationship to have to move back to your families. Do either of them have room to take you together? What are job prospects like - do you need to do some training to get more options for work?

Pressures in life can be really hard, but they are also an opportunity to draw close and support one another. Keep talking and sharing your feelings and hopes for the future. You may not always be able to comfort one another with a solution to the problems you are facing, but if you can be lovingly open and accepting of each other, you can be rich in other ways.

We don't have any credit cards so we don't have that to worry about. For both of us to move in with either her sister or my dad would create some problems. Her sister is very thrifty when it comes to taking showers and using water!! My dad smokes and my wife and I don't. Also she has two cats and a dog.
