Has anyone else noticed?

When teenage girls become emotional or behave badly its PMT or PMS
When boys do the same it just Boys being Boys
So we let it go, as it's just a stage they'll grow out of

Girls when were 16 - 30 the first question anyone asks us when we are feeling a bit off colour is "Do you think you could be pregnant?
If we should be a bit grumpy or emotional once again the men in our lives will just say it's PMS

Oh don't worry guys your excuse for being a pain in the arse is - "He's not getting any sex"
poor guy his partner must be fridgid.
When he gets drunk at the pub, it's always "Her fault" or "Well why not she's always spending his money" or he feeling a bit stressed.

When he has an affair, it's always our fault, he wasn't getting enough at home or some other excuse.
When us Girls have an affair we are just loose women or home wreckers.

Then we get to the 44+ age group

For us women everything is blamed on menopause
Men it's just a mid life crisis and eventually they will get it out of their systems - after they've bought the new car, motor bike and sown a few wild oats with a younger woman or three and of course changed their entire wardrobes to make them look like johnney depp or some other young stud.
Women well we just do it so we can become a cougar, funny how we've gone from being mutton dressed up as lamb to cougars or worse craddle snatchers.

It seems both sexes use Mid life or menopause as a way to explain or partners bad behaviour and lack of moral fibre.

Yes I'm venting, someone's thread about their partner just going through a mid life crisis just made me really think about how we blame our hormones for so much. What do you think?

Personally I don't buy the mid life crisis as an excuse for certain types of behaviour. It seems to be used to excuse all kinds of behaviours. I think we have to see what is going on and not just say Oh! mid life crisis. All the excuses you have mentioned Jellybean are sometimes just used instead of people really knowing what is happening. A kind of lazy way of thinking if you like.
