I am a Christian woman married to a muslim man. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter. My husband insists on raising her a muslim. I would like to expose her to both religions and let her decide when she is older. I would like her to celebrate christian holidays as well as islamic holdays. But my husband insists that she does not celebrate christian holidays. I am asking for advice as to what to do. I don't want this issue of holidays to ruin our marriage.

your idea of celebrating both sounds reasonable enough to me and then for her to make up her own mind to which religion is fantastic, i know alot of people who have turned away from faith alltogether because they did not have any say in it and it was forced upon them by their parents. you need to try and convince your husband that this is the best way. you may like to remind him that he married you and you are a christian so it should not bother him to bring his daughter up exposed to both.

There is a thread for these type of problems on Coffee Time Chat Jcaci. You may find a few answers there? It is part of this discussion group you are already on.
