I wonder if you could sit down together and share with each other what marriage means to you. It seems from what you've written that it means different things, but that doesn't mean that your fiance doesn't love you or value you. It is more likely to mean that he views marriage differently. If you can, do your best to listen to him and try and understand where he is coming from, and then tell him why marriage matters to you.

Then you might consider doing some sort of marriage preparation. You can find resources for marriage preparation (http://www.2-in-2-1.co.uk/weddings/marlifeprep/) on the site. Just because you are a bit older and have been married before doesn't mean that such preparation is irrelevant. It is important for you to understand your different views of life and to learn to share them and live with them.
