Intro:
D C (x4)

D F C D (x2)

Verse 1:
D C D C
I've said goodbye to many old friends, and many places
D C D C
I've said goodbye to some happy times, familiar faces
D C D C
I've said goodbye to young summer nights, electric guitars
D C D C
And carefree sunny summer days, and havin' fun with the boys

Chorus:
G D C D
Well, I've said goodbye to a lot of things in my life
G D F C
But I never thought the day would come when I would say
D C D C
Goodbye my love
D C D C
Goodbye my love

D F C D (x2)

Verse 2:
I've said goodbye to some things I thought, would last forever
Some folks I thought I'd never miss, and now I can't forget 'em
I've said goodbye to some dreams I had, I watched 'em go so sadly
Late at night when I can't sleep I know, I needed them badly

Chorus:
Well, I've said goodbye to a lot of things in my life
But I never thought the day would come when I would say
Goodbye my love
Goodbye my love
Goodbye my love
Goodbye my love

solace in songs. mike wrote this and whole album in home studio while dying from pancreatic cancer at 38. great album. somber but also hopeful and uplifting. download, buy, stream. give a listen. music can heal the soul. Ben Harper and Bob Marley also help. Not about marriage issues but relavant to many here. Left behind wife and 2 kids. Big extended family of fans and friends. Still mourning. I can't wait to see some good live music to get myself right. If it feels good we shake.

I've been playing Serena Ryder's version of Buddy Holly's "Doesn't Matter Anymore" over and over again...

Do it now then.

I'm singing enough is enough is enough I can't go on no no no

Ha he'll soon be singing whose sorry now.

You know, I'm glad i'm doing all this crazy crap. I can even laugh at myself and admit to people I'm doing it and they all still love me. I don't think that anything will ever hurt me again therefore, no matter what happens in the future, I know it will never be worse than this.

Basically, I can look forward to being able to cope, should my little heart break ever again :-)

actually she was putting something in her car and i locked her out. she got real mad and said she was going to call police. i told her to call and tell them what. really i only did it so she could not take dog away. her dog she got about a month before we statred dating. since then i gave him more love, attention than she ever did. i also paid most vet bills and bought most food. still she bought him, do not like sound of that. he is not merchandise. anyway she came back two days later while i was at work and took him and some art. i thought about trying to take him back but could get messy. i miss my boy. best dog ever.

JWD

that is so selfish splitting the dogs like that. Can she prove she bought him. So angry now. Like they're not doing enough to us eh

jahdog

"Handle" is another word for name, so i guess if i said "see my handle" i'd be saying refer to my name i.e. Dave123.....? Other than that i have no idea!

Music is both solace and agony for me at the moment, it has got me through some tough minutes, hours and days but iTunes has a habit of randomly playing something that really brings back sad memories. Metallica helps with the anger, Sigur Ros and Thierry Robin really help me to chill, dance music is really helping to cheer me up too!

Take care dude,

Dave

I'm having a love-hate relationship with music right now. I'll be listening to a great song that is inspiring me to get on with my life when all of a sudden some singer will be crying about how they can't live without the other person, or "please don't go" or what have you, and I'll break down again.

Add to that fact my H is a music freak means there's way more quiet time for me than I'm really used to. Most music just simply reminds me of him, so I have to be VERY selective nowadays with what I listen to.

Yep, music really helps. I was feeling low this morning, put some music on and I felt ten times better, singing along, has to be upbeat music though. Only "listen to slow songs in the evening when relaxing.

H just gone up to bed without saying a word to me, heard the bedroom door shut and that's it, another evening full of fun, laughter and conversation.

Funny thing is, he said where shall we go for our coffee tomorrow. I can't understand him, he can't be bothered to speak to me but still wants to go for a coffee.

Will he make the final decision where you go? if so say no lets try such and such.

Wish we could just smack them with a plank and wake them up
