Seen a few old faces on here as I popped by so thought would say hi, and a happy new year to them. In fact to everyone. Breakups are hell. Best of luck to you all in 2009

Hi everyone

Not sure if any of you remember me from last year, I also pop back in and out, this site was a brilliant help to me and some of the people on it have now become life long friends.

To those who wonder whether you can get back together - yes you can, it takes alot of shouting, alot of tears and alot of love and patience, we got back together christmas last year, this year has been trying at times but we have got through it together.

So I want to wish everyone a really happy 2009, you are the one that controls your llife not a situation or someone else.

" If Im not happy I can not make those around me happy"

Love & hugs

Dear All and a very happy and prosperous new year to you!

I am still alive and kicking. After spending many months in sheer hell I finally came to the decision that the husband had to go! So earlier this month we both agreed to go our separate ways. I feel completely at peace with this decision and in fact it feels as if a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders! He is a liar and a cheat and I am sick and fed up of the second best life that he was very happy for me to live.

I am optimistic for my future and for my children. They are doing brilliantly at school and, though I wouldn't have wished for my marriage to end like this - till death do us part and all that jazz, I know that I am going to be just fine! I am very happy to live alone, raise my kids and maybe one day when the time is right I might meet that special someone, but until then, let life unfold as it should.

So many of you on here saved my life - yes, you literally saved my sanity and my life! I used to be on here regularly while I was going through hell and your advice, love and support got me through it all. The past doesn't hurt anymore - or at least it doesn't hurt as much.

On Valentine's day 2009 (next month) it will be one year since I found out about husband's latest affair and I am still standing!

Thank you all so very, very much for having been my rock when I needed the help.

(((HUGS)))

think finally broke the curse of any one ever living up to my ex husband's shadow and fell very much in love in April. Never think about the ex now and blissfully happy only took 5 years :)

Hello all you old-timers!
I'm an old face too but incognito like spiderman. Its good to see some of you are getting on and moved on. Not so good for some of you others recently though H. I think most of the old-timers will probably look in now and again to see if they spot a familiar name.

Nice to see Raymond is still doing his best to help too.

Thinking of you all.
