Hi all,
My wife of nearly 10 years has decided to separate and I have recently found information that would suggest she has been seeing, although not sleeping with, another man.
My question is whether I can legitimately confront her about things I have found, such as text messages, online chats etc?
Can this be classed as an invasion of privacy or is it fair that we should have no secrets?
Any ideas??
Thanks
Raymond

You are married to her and this could threaten your marriage. You have every right to question what is going on. Do it now before it is too late.

Ask her what you want mate..no its not an invasion of her privacy..but if she is separating from you its sounds kind of final anyway....so any other exocets going in her direction wont make any difference.

Confront her. You have a right to know the truth, otherwise it will torture you.

Thanks for the comments. I don't really know where to start or what to say. At the end of the day if she has made this decision, what difference does anything from our past make?
Yes, it would give me some closure and know that it really is over, but would it not also hurt twice as bad to find out anything she may or may not have done?
Thanks.

Whether you feel it will be worth knowing the truth is a decision only you can make, despite the advice you may get here. You then have to decide is your marriage worth fighting for or not.
In my case I'm glad I got to know. I decided not to fight for my marriage after I knew. Not knowing just about sent me loopy and my imagination went into overdrive! It was pure torture. Once I knew the truth, yes it did hurt a great deal but I decided I needed to move on and it enabled me to have closure. It wasn't an easy journey at all, and at times very difficult, but I have come out the other side.
I don't regret my desicion. Life is good.
Whatever you decide to do, good luck to you.
