Hi, this is my first post.

My question is, how do people cope with the passing of time in a bad marriage?

I married 6 years ago - we have a wonderful son - but my wife has severe personality disorders which make it difficult to live with her. I'm stuck really - I would not want to deprive my son of his mother and yet don't want to leave because I don't trust her fragile temperament. So there you are.

Anyone else in a similar position? How do you get by?

She has an unstable personality characterised by violent moods and bouts of depression which usually resloves into a fury.

The main thing is for her to get help not to dump her. There is help around. She almost certainly has has childhood problems, but these can be overcome.

Thanks - but each suggestion that she gets help results in a punch in the nose.

What, do you mean she actually punches you?
