I have always secretly wiped the odd tear away when watching a movie with the wife that has an emotionally moving scene.
I have watched 2 movies with the kids in the last couple of weeks and shed a few tears - luckily the first time was in the cinema watching 'The spiderwick chronicles' , the scene where Mr Spiderwick(who has not aged) asks his daughter who he left behind(who is now 80 years old) to come with him back to this magical world and she shed's a few tears and transforms back to the 7 year old girl he left behind whilst he takes her hand. blub blub
Tonight we had a movie night in on the sofa and I picked up the 'Bridge to Terabithia' on dvd, a very touching film about childrens imagination, but again I blubbed as one of the main characters is killed off, and my 6 year old daughter is saying 'but daddy she will come back to life won't she?' :(
It must be the time of the year :p
Anyway I have promised to take the kids to see 'The Water Horse' next weekend, god I must be a glutton for punishment :D
