Sorry to interupt this thread.

I feel ok I have a tiny bit of sadness and I do hate the idea of him making a life with someone else but that too is lessening. In general I just feel I am done, it is over. I would rather be on my own than with him. Yes I still have love for him but not in the way that I had, it isn't all consumming, I feel for him the same as I feel for an ex boyfriend that I was close to, that kinda caring but it is over type of love.
My life is very unsure and I wouldn't say i am blissfully happy but I am happy.
Here is my question, Is it too soon am I about to hit rock bottom again.
I see this thread and read the songs and they don't pull on my heart strings at all, " months ago i would have listed off millions, I stopped listening to the radio because it hurt. There is a jonny cash song on my ipod that breaks my heart, guess what I can't remember the name of it.
Is this the calm before the storm, I thought I woud die without him, I truly loved him, I adored him and suddenly that has all gone.
He asked me the other day did I miss "us" our life together and honestly I said No.
I don't, it hurt me loving him. Now I rely on me and I don't dissappoint myself.
Relationships, I can take it or leave it. However here is my stumbling block that makes me question will I fall hard. I DREAM about him every night, in those dreams we are a couple, happy. Every single night, I don't wake up looking for him but I wake up feeling I have been sleeping next to him.

I think through every break up there are songs that you hate and songs that lift you up, I know I used to hate the Savage Garden track 'Truly,madly deeply' because that was being played a lot when I split up with my ex, where as my wife loves them and because of that I really like them. I sent my W a heart felt email several weeks back to tell her how much I love her etc and want to works things out and I included some links to some tracks which remind me of her and how she made me feel and one of them was a savage garden track - I knew I loved you.
As you say Val once you get past a point you don't care for these songs anymore because you are moving on, we will get there in time ;)


As for your dreams, I guess something inside you is still not letting go fully and maybe therapy is needed to deal with it if you are so sure there is no going back which I what I feel from your posts. I still have dreams about my W and being together but it's still a lot fresher for me and totally normal I would assume, I guess the dreams are brought on by our own inner anxiety.

I'm happy to hear you made up with Val she really is a sweetheart, nothing worse then having someone you love and trust wholeheartedly call you a whore its devastating.
