What am I going to do?

I met this guy through online dating site and we've been in a relationship for almost a year already. He's lovely and caring and for me he's an ideal partner. About a week ago he proposed to marry me and I said yes right away since it's one of my awaited moment in my life. Both of us were so excited and happy planning for the upcoming event but there's one thing that really bothered me. I admit I don't know him that much and I still have a lot to discover but isn't it enough what he had shown and said to me for almost a year? I wanted to know if he has any records but I'm also so scared to discover the truth. Please help me. I need some advice and suggestions. :confused:

It's very important for the future for you to be able to trust each other. Would going behind his back to check his criminal record help build that trust?

Perhaps it's better to spend time getting to know him, his family and friends. You don't say whether you life close to each other and have been able to spend a lot of time together.

Another thing you could do is some marriage preparation. In your case some thing like FOCCUS or Prepare would be ideal - they help you to explore what your views are about things, and the values you share.
