Hey annie

Funny because it wasn't long ago that a holiday had so much to offer. What I think I mean is it wasnt hard to fill an empty day there was so much to do. My question is why is that different now. You have so much going for you. Filling a day with beautiful people as yourslelf sound not be hard.

Hi Anne

I live in a tourist resort, so I don't tend to do much on the Bank Holidays as the traffic is awful.

I might go to the beach later in the day. Usually the girls see a few friends down there.

There are times that I feel very lonely at weekends. That is when I miss my family the most, as when we were growing up we always had family picnic & outings at the weekend. I have just resigned myself to the fact that I have quiet weekends. The majority of my friends have family close by and so are busy at the weekend. I do find it hard when they complain about their family commitments, when I would love to have some. I don't think they know the loneliness I feel. I only have one divorced friend who has no family, as both her parents died.

As for ideas: a picnic, a walk, a BBQ in the garden.

Have a nice day.

My bank holiday I ended up working in the pub, watching all the couples and families enjoying themselves:(.

I just keep repeating my mantra "his loss, his loss".

Went out with some of my friends on Sat night, my first time out of the village, they talked me into going into a nightclub, I got told that I had (wait for it) "a nice cleavage"!!! boy how chat up lines have changed in 10 years, what happened to "Can I buy you a drink". I didn't know whether to be offended or annoyed.:)

Ha!

huskypup - you really made me smile - thanks!!! Very brave of you - a nightclub!!!! Scarey!!! My friends keep saying the same to me "his loss"!!!!!

Sally I can see so many similarities in our situations - wish that beach were near me?

Kids and I just stayed in, watched some movies and played a little cricket in the garden - very nice really and I cooked them their favourite roast! H was with his mum and dad again - they are getting alot of his company just lately although they live 3 hrs drive away - still think he hasnt mentioned our break to many!!!

Been busy this week preparing the stuff for kids to go back to school next week! Just wish the sun would shine again!!!

Take care everyone

It was very scary, haven't been to a club in a long time, it was ok, not my scene, though my friends are still rubbing it in that I sort of got chatted up.

I don't mind Saturdays as I can always find things to do, it is Sundays that I hate, we always spent the day together or with the children - and I don't like imposing on other people on a Sunday.

Hi

I know what you mean - when you have a complete family unit Sundays seemed so precious!

The kids are so busy term time with all the sports fixtures so roll on next week!!!!! Back to usual school routines etc etc - have loved having them at home but has been hard for all of us with my h not being here. No regrets though - he is such a plonker I am best out I know!
Just have wobbly moments still but then again I suppose it is early days yet!

My h was always nearly away all week but came home Friday nite!! So usually all started at the curry house fri nite and then all weekend together! I suppose that must have p...ed his mistress off that she never got him on the weekends! He must have been with her during the week & us weekends - what an existence he led!!! No wonder he is so grey!!!!

Take care huskypup & nice speaking to you
