I left my husband in February this year to live with an ex-boyfriend of 30years ago who left his wife for me at the same time. I received a letter this week from my husband's solicitor informing me that my husband was starting divorce proceedings against me for Adultery. This is great as far as my partner and I are concerned because we intend to marry each other. The problem is that my partner's wife won't divorce him. I understand that for my partner to get an Instant Divorce from his wife that he has to either to divorce her for Adultery or Unreasonable Behaviour. She hasn't committed Adultery, so could you tell me what constitutes Unreasonable Behaviour please. Thank you for your help.

Hello,
It's rather unfeeling of you to post this on here as all the other people here are devasted and trying to deal with having what you've done happen to them. We're the poor b*stards left behind when people do what you do. Ask a solicitor. You'll find you can cite anything as unreasonable behaviour. Make it up. You probably can't hurt the woman any more than she is already hurting - it's just a formality. I'm sure everybody here would be grateful if you'd take any further questions to a more appropriate place though. I can't seem to find an 'up yours' smiley on here. Can that be organised?

...is a good website to answer any questions you might have about the divorce procedure.

Personally, I think that this is a wind up. I mean surely nobody can be that stupid to think that a marriage website advice forum is going to give advice on divorce. Ang0, I think you need to take your piece-off to another website:D .

Dear Ang0,
In answer to your question on how to get a divorce if your partner is not living with his wife he can apply for a legal seperation, and once that has been 2 yrs he can get an automatic devorce without any grounds.
Hope this helps
