can my wife claim half my wages

my wife met a guy in a card playing gameroom last hear he suffers from epilepsy.diabetis.obsessive behavior syndrome an shakes with nerves also he has learning difficults,my wife who with the help of a consellour has just got over in the last few mths agrophobia after having it for 8 long yrs.
now she asks me to drive her 27 mls to were he an his family live and stay there with them at 1st it was a day but recently has went up to 4 days away I've argued constantly that we're here family but she insists that they need her more andd i've told her last sunday well his mothere hes 31 by the way,that she can stay there for ever for all i care an she has'nt been back or contacted us since exept to get more clothes when i was at work,now a friend has told me to see a solicitor because she could and knowning her she will claim half my bank saving and wages is this true I know i would have to buty her out of the house but she has never done much housework or contributed to the house I see this as unreasonable behaviour all my kids who all work and are over 20 agree with me that she should just go away as the feel well and truely snubbed for waitng for her to get better so we could all do things together as family.any help would be appreciated

I think you need to get legal advice - yes you hear scare stories of being robbed of what is yours etc etc but if your children are grown and you have put just as much into the house you should protect yourself.

Although when I was being cheated on the last thing on my mind was the right legal advice I was just devestated because I loved my husband ....

thank you for your answer kim,but I dont think my wife can get much as I never have more than a few hundred in my account but what gauls me is she never did any work in her whole life or did much housework and yet she told me she could get a £150 a week just for the cleaning here ,we all had a good laugh about that one
