Dave, Liz, Kate

Seeing that you guys can't be everywhere "24/7" (or even 5/14) - may I suggest that you allow Helen to be a moderator of this part of the site?

It is clear from her posts that her contribution (which comes from within and from her experience) touches many people. She has demonstrated herself to be not only engaging with so many posters - but she is also fair to them and fair to the vast majority of posters (even though sometimes they do not deserve it).

I think this may alleviate some of our concerns (as posters) that the mods of the board are not receptive, but it would also allow "one of our own" to be be able to excercise judgement to "take care" of any potential mess that may arise while the three of you are not around.

Mind you, I haven't asked Helen this yet, so she is seeing this for the first time. She may not want to do it - but it wouldn't hurt to ask her.....

Helen,

Would you be up for being a mod on this site?

Do you need a seconder, I personall have found Helen to be impartial but fair. She seems to know exactly the right things to say without being judgemental and makes the person think what is oing on in their life. I think she would be a very good counsellor too, and told her so once,
.
Hope everyone having a good weekend, spent the day alone and been thinking of H as usual but still ripe in memory him here last weekend and being pathetic. I still cannot understand the letter asking to meet and agreeing on the phone he would be every whenever and then sitting here and discussing nothing. I hope he is thinking of what he has done !

Well Helen, I hope you think about what we all think of you and make the right decision !

I agree,

Helen is allways there even through the nights, To put in so much of her own time to help others which can be quite draining sometimes,
She deserves a big pat on the back, She is always there and gives fantastic advice and always puts things into perspective for you,

She may not want to do it but if she did then it would be the best thing for this site.

Helen everyone thinks you would be great. ?

Something worth thinking about ?

Oh gosh! Thanks all! I am feeling really embarrassed for some reason. And immensely flattered. Thanks for thinking so highly of me that you would want me to be a mod. I try to help because I want to and I am around at night because I normally suffer from insomnia.

That said, I am conscious that I haven't been around since yesterday evening. I am detoxing at the moment. I have been seeing a nutritionist (like Gillian McKeith) and I have had to give up all sorts of things and switch to a totally organic diet. Today I feel like Hell and yesterday I had to have an early night, I was so exhausted! I have been told that this feeling will last for a few days because I have had to cut out so many things out of my diet (wheat, sugar, caffeine, potatoes, etc., etc) because the nutritionist determined that, in addition to adrenal blow out and having a non-functioning immune system, I am on the brink of diabetes too :( I have had to take drastic and radical action.

Would I be willing to be a mod? Yes, if Liz, Dave and Kate are happy with it. Thanks for thinking about me!

No need to feel embarrassed, I can only echo what the other have said! Your insight has personally helped me so very very much.

Good luck with the detox, I have a couple of friends who have gon through it & although they said the first few days were tough, it was well worth it in the end.

Hi Helen,

I also agree with everyone on this thread! Not only are you coping with your own problems but you also have so much time and so many wise and uplifting words to offer us all.....

Sorry to hear that the detox is making you feel so yucky at the moment. I've started a healthier eating plan and I feel rather washed out BUT I also know that further down the line I'll see the results ie. an overall heathier glow... well thats the theory anyway! Mind you the extra fibre has done wonders for me!!!

Hope x :)

I also believe that you would make a great moderator Helen.
You appear very open minded and non-judgemental and not only do you offer support, advice and solace, you have also opened up to people so much of yourself, that many can relate to you and feel relaxed with you.
Despite your not having a "Face" on here, I can only imagine that to the most of us, you are indeed a very welcoming & friendly face to see.
Obviously, if you are "Promoted", please let it be known to you from no doubt all of us, that you would no way then be obligated to be on here continuously. I would loathe that you do a good deed and then get exhausted from it and feel burdened. I would rather you stay as you are and give all you can because you want to rather than become a Mod, and then do it just because you feel you should.
Apart from that I totally agree with London !
Good luck with the detox. I hope you are feeling ok.

Sorry to be many steps behind I can only echo the comments here - Helen would make an excellent Moderator for the forum for many reasons. Although it does seem to be a time consuming job.
