I'm 58 I've been devorced 17 years if I get married again and then devorce how much of my house would my new wife be able to get?like how long married would I have to be before see gets half

You need to speak to a solicitor so they can advise you properly on exactly how the law would affect you in the event of a divorce. You would probably need to visit one anyway as your will would need to be looked at to make sure it is in accordance with your wishes.

Perhaps you could ask them about a pre-nuptual agreement? This is not a legally binding document, but it does set down agreements about property which could be refered to in the event of a divorce.

I suppose it is wise to think ahead, but isn't it a bit discouraging to be thinking about divorce before you are even married?
