Hi all,
I need some help. Recently I found out that the wife of my husband's best friend pretty much HATES me. She heard from someone else that i had been saying some really awful things (that are NOT true) and now it is coming between our husbands. We have always had issues with each other becasue our personalities completely clash. but in the past we have always been able to be at least civil to each other for our husband's sake. Now that she thinks i would actually say these things behind her back really hurts. My husband wants me to confront her and talk to her about it to clear the air but other than weddings and parties I never see or talk to her. I'm not one to make a big public scene, so ' don't know how to handle this entire mess!
please help!! any and all advice would be amazing!!

Hello,
Any chance that she's making it all up. Could she just be trying to cause trouble for you by saying you've been talking about her? I'd suggest rather than approach her in public you write her a letter explaining that although you have your differences you have never said whatever it is you're being accused of, that you can't understand why another person would try and cause trouble in this way and that you hope you can both move on from this situation and get back to normal.
At least you'll have made the first adult move rather than just involving other people as she seems to be doing.
