A Westcountry Royal Marine married his childhood sweetheart on Saturday after he was flown back from the Gulf in time for the big day.
Thanks to the compassionate move by Ministry of Defence officials - helped by a letter from Lindsay to Andy's commanding officer - 120 guests gathered in Exeter to celebrate the couple's marriage.
Friends of the couple had decided they were going to have a party even if Andy was still away for the wedding, which was booked 18-months ago.
